Mission

Texas Psychological Foundation (TPF) is the non-profit foundation entity of Texas Psychological Association organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes. TPF provides financial support to students and psychologists who engage in research and other charitable and educational projects to stimulate interest and knowledge of psychology to the public. TPF's priorities are devoted to:
• Stimulate interest and knowledge of psychology to the public;
• Recognize excellence and achievement in graduate training by granting awards, scholarships, and fellowships;
• Encourage the design and development of novel techniques and innovative programs for providing effective psychological services in schools, institutions, industries, and in the community-at-large;
• Promote or fund basic and/or applied research programs in psychology;
• Encourage and support scholarship and publication in the field of psychology; and
• Develop materials and programs for the advancement of professional education in psychology

Annual Grants and Awards

TPF offers two categories of awards/grants annually. The Student Research Proposal Awards are open to undergraduate and graduate psychology students throughout Texas and are intended to provide funding for faculty-supervised research projects. While the Student Merit Research Awards are for completed research.
