THERE WERE 49 CONTESTANTS FROM TEXAS THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER PERFORMS WITH A TEXAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. THE COMPETITION FURTHERS MUSIC EDUCATION IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. PUBLIC ATTENDANCE NUMBERS 90-100.

PROJECT CATEGORIES INCLUDE COMMUNICATION/TECHNOLOGY, LEADERSHIP/SERVICE, FUNDRAISING, AND EDUCATION. ADDITIONALLY, AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE ARE GIVEN TO OUTSTANDING SUPPORTERS OF TEXAS SYMPHONIES IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: VOLUNTEER, PATRON, BUSINESS, AND LEGISLATOR.
