Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
J Performing Arts Space
J Performing Arts Space (JPAS) is a year-round mindfulness based program for children ages 3-18 years old who have an interest in visual and performing arts, whether it be mixed media, acting, dance, film, musical performance, or behind the scenes training. We offer educational programming in fall, a main stage production in the winter and spring, and performing arts camps in summer. Our program is designed to ignite and foster artistic expression and talent.
Hunger Reduction Program
We are the only subsidized congregate meal site in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex serving Kosher meals for senior adults. Lunches are served Monday - Friday to any senior 65+ in the DFW Metroplex regardless of race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or religious denomination. Suggested donation of $3.50.
Our program is beneficial to participants because they are assured of having nutritionally balanced meals each day.
Wellness Program for Seniors
Our organization emphasizes the need to improve lifestyle, attitude, and energy in order for seniors (65+) in the Dallas Metroplex to live longer, healthier lives. We offer daily senior wellness classes (virtually and in-person) to combat social isolation and to promote wellness. The types of classes we offer in-person include cardio/strength/balance/stretch (silver fit), non-impact aerobics (NIA), chair workouts, Tai Chi, chair yoga, and line dancing. Non-impact aerobics and chair workouts are also offered virtually.

- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
