Mission

Every year in the United States and the industrialized world, more people die from sudden cardiac arrhythmias than any other single cause. Texas Arrhythmia Institute raises funds to promote awareness of preventing sudden cardiac death, working to prevent sudden cardiac death with accessible automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) and CPR-trained bystanders.

Education and training

The Texas Arrhythmia Institute operates programs to support education and training. A comprehensive website is maintained for medical professionals and the public. TAI, in partnership with other non-profits, sponsors community-wide training days in CPR and AED use.

Population(s) Served

Save A Life is an annual community-wide program to train individuals in CPR and how to use an AED.  Save A Life 2010 held two English language sessions on the first day and one Spanish language session on the second day.  Our goal is to certify no less than 1,000 people during the event, and each year we get closer to reaching that result.
