Through leadership, involvment and revenue enhancement, enable the City of Oxnard's Art Museum to offer educational and cultural services to an ever-broadening audience of Ventura County residents and tourists by raising support for and by promoting: exhibits, school tours, education programs, outreach programs, special events, art workshops, lectures, artist talks, poetry/literary readings, and performances.

ART EXHIBITS PROGRAM. EXHIBITS PROVIDE THE BASIS FOR THE SUBJECTS FOCUSED UPON IN ALL ED PROGRAMMING AND VISITOR EVENTS. FY 2018-19 MUSEUM EXHIBITS OF CALIFORNIA ART INCLUDE: CALIFORNIA ARTISTS FROM THE MULLIN AUTOMOTIVE MUSUM COLLECTION; WORLD VIEW/COSMOVISIN BY 4 IMPACTFUL CALIFORNIA LATINO ARTISTS; 2018 DIA DE LOS MUERTOS ALTAR REMEMBERING 4 AREA ARTISTS; 2018 FIESTA NOCHE DE RECUERDOS ART (2); ARCHITECTURAL LINES/ JUNE LAWRENCE DRAWINGS; CATALYSTS OF CHANGE/LUTHER GERLACH THOMAS FIRE PHOTOS; PASTORAL CRUDE KAREN KITCHEL LANDSCAPES; 2018 BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF OXNARD & PT. HUENEME NATIONAL ARTS COMPETITION LOCAL EXHIBIT; THE IMAGINARY IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE REPRESENTATIONAL ART CONFERENCE (TRAC2019) CALIFORNIA LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY ARTS INITIATIVE SHOWING 23 ARTISTS; RECENT & SELDOM SEEN GIFTS TO AND RARELY SEEN ART FROM THE PERMANENT COLLECTION; PORFIRIO GUTIERREZ/THE MASTER WEAVER & WORKSHOP STUDENTS (2); SWAN SONG ART BY LOCAL SUPPORTIVE ARTISTS; AND 2 SELECTIONS/THE COLLECTION EXHIBITS. CAM STUDIO PROJECT EXHIBITED: THE OXNARD PLAIN COLLECTIVE-ZINES BY JAIME BAILON; VANESSA WALLACE GONZALES: ARTIFACTS FROM A BUTTERFLY MECONIUM; BRILLANTES DEL RING/DANIEL CHAVIRA LUCHE LIBRE PHOTOS; THE OXNARD PLAIN COLLECTIVE-EXAMPLES; COLOR FLOW /ANDY LEPE ABSTRACT PAINTINGS; SMOKE & MIRRORS-ZARA FEENEY PAINTINGS; PROCESS INSTALLATION OF UPSIDE DOWN-CHRSITINE MORLA; AND A SELECTIONS/THE COLLECTION EXHIBIT. IN TOTAL 24 EXHIBITS SERVED 14,742 ON-SITE VISITORS AND 146,468 ON-LIVE VISITORS.

MUSEUM EDUCATION PROGRAM. The Museum Education Program serves elementary thru college students, ELD/new comer students, adults and seniors with information and experiences about art, artists, history and literature. Knowledge, cognitive skills and self-confidence were increased about: art appreciation, cultural history, art media, studio techniques, art history, architecture, design and writing though 16 on-going education programs that yielded an annual total of 178 ed presentations. Ed programs included: school, college, & group exhibit tours (90);"Art Smart" and "Artist Encounters" classroom presentations (12); Free Family Days (4); Childrens workshops after school classes (5); Building Blocks" kids classes (13); teen/adult "Nichos" & "Paper Flower" workshops (3); adult Zapoteca Weaving; Eco Flowers & Sumi Sip art workshops (14); CAM Studio Project workshops (3); Artist Gallery Talks (4); CAM Gallery Artists Studioships (3); Oxnard Plain Collectives art/video critiques (3); The Storytelling Collective adult workshops (9); Jackson Wheeler Poetry Series with adult and college student poets (6); and Plaza Park Farmers Market Art Booth art making sessions (9). In total the Museum Education Program made possible by CAM Cornerstones fundraising, served 4,219 participants (5.2% increase over prior year)

AUDIENCE OUTREACH PROGRAM. The Audience Outreach Program increases the local community's equality of access and promotes broader participation in Museum programs by city/county residents and tourists. Local and SoCal audiences were reached by media coverage, ads and listings in: the VC Reporter, ArtScene, the VC Star, Boys & Girls Club of pt Hueneme and Oxnard Annual Report; Oxnard Recreation Guide; "Happenings", "VAS" on-line publication. The aggregate, distribution of these reached a readership of 100,158 monthly. Exhibits, event and ed programs were also publicized by postal mailings of 8,171 announcements and 1,200 bilingual ed flyers. Social media outreach increased with: weekly postings on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and e-newsletters reaching 8,380 readers. Annually, eNewsletter mailings were read by 68,933 on-line visitors (approx. 2X the prior year) and the website seen by 69,103. Calendar app subscribers rose to 99. Audience Outreach promotion were circulated in total to 1,157,466 readers, viewers, visitors and students. Special events outreach included: 4 major museum exhibit opening receptions, 4 CAM studio gallery exhibit opening receptions, 2018 Fiesta Noche de Recuerdos annual event, guest artists talks and member tours. Collaborative participation in other organizations' events to reached under-served sectors of the community included: Plaza Park Farmer's market booth; Oxnard Multi-Cultural Festival, Boys & Girls Clubs of Oxnard & Pt Hueneme art judging and tours, United Day of Caring, Weaving Workshops via Ventura County Arts Council and Mixteco Indigenous Community Organization, Oxnard Police Department PAL Art workshops, Earth Day, My Community First Oxnard Revival Center Resources Fair, Oxnard Recreation Community Resources Fair, Oxnard Library Creative Workshops, PACC Art Fair, and Mullin Automotive Museum member & docent tours. At collaborative events, museum staff and volunteers interfaced with 3,074 area residents.
