Healthy Lompoc Coalition

Established in 2006, the Healthy Lompoc Coalition is a hub for approximately 60 partner agencies and stakeholders dedicated to advancing programs and policies that cultivate a local environment supporting healthy living. Through this Coalition, we foster invaluable partnerships and collaborations, facilitating initiatives and leveraging resources that might not otherwise materialize. Additionally, the Coalition serves as the driving force behind the Healthy Happenings monthly newsletter, providing health information to over 1000 subscribers.

Our vision is for a healthy Lompoc, where a culture of health and wellness empowers the whole person and whole community to thrive.

Transforming health through cross-sector partnerships and community-led action by building an inclusive culture of health and well-being in the Lompoc Valley. We serve as the F.A.C.E (Facilitate, Assess, Convene and Educate) for the community healthcare system.

Established in 2006, the Healthy Lompoc Coalition is a hub for approximately 60 partner agencies and stakeholders dedicated to advancing programs and policies that cultivate a local environment supporting healthy living. Through this Coalition, we foster invaluable partnerships and collaborations, facilitating initiatives and leveraging resources that might not otherwise materialize. Additionally, the Coalition serves as the driving force behind the Healthy Happenings monthly newsletter, providing health information to over 1000 subscribers.
In partnership with others, our work has made an impact for Lompoc. Some recent projects include Safe Neighborhoods, Safe Streets Active Transportation Program; #VaccinateLompoc COVID-19 community awareness campaign; Census 2020 #LompocCounts outreach campaign; Healthy People Healthy Trails physical activity promotion program; Active transportation event Lompoc Open Streets; Installation of Bicycle Repair Stations; Installation of water bottle refill stations and Rethink Your Drink education; Healthy Eating Active Living HEAL cities initiative and wellness fair; Installation of Creative Crosswalks to promote commerce and walkability in downtown; Co-founding Route One Farmers Market to increase healthy local food access and support local farmers; Caring Together Lompoc caregiver support collaborative; Promotion and education for students to walk and bike via Safe Routes To School; and Co-chairing the campaign to renovate the Lompoc Community Track & Field at Huyck Stadium.

Our Social Enterprise Model operates as a fee-for-service endeavor through the management of a comprehensive healthcare contract with the Federal Bureau of Prisons' Federal Correctional Complex in Lompoc. Under this program, we facilitate and coordinate quality specialty healthcare services for 3,300 inmates.
