Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Family Shelter
We provide temporary shelter for families with minor children. Families enrolled in the program meet with our case manager regularly to work towards gaining income and independent housing. We have space for two families at a time. Our average length of program stay is 75 days.
Graduate Support Services/Stabilization
Obtaining and maintaining affordable housing can be especially difficult for a family who recently experienced homelessness. That is why we have our stabilization program. We continue to provide support services for the first year after they graduate our program. Through this program families are provided with resources for financial assistance, furniture, household goods, and mentoring so they start off on the right foot.
Prevention and Diversion
We provide case management and one-time financial assistance for families with minor children that are at-risk of or already experiencing homelessness. We pay past-due rent; therefore, preventing eviction and homelessness. We pay security deposits/first month's rent to help secure new housing and divert a family from entering shelter.
Transitional Housing
Transitional Housing is an intermediate step between emergency shelter and permanent housing. We partnered with Hope Homes to obtain two 2-bedroom, 2-bath houses in Mocksville to use for Transitional Housing. This program is the next step towards permanent housing for families that are successful in our shelter program. Eligible families can stay in this program up to three months while working with our case manager.
