What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

YOUTH ON A JOURNEY

Our integrated program, Youth on a Journey, is a structured abstinence program that educates youth grades 6th - 12th through a series of workshops focusing on self-esteem, peer pressure, communication, and goal setting, to name a few. Statistically, youth-empowerment focused sex education has been found to "support young people's development, and help reduce widespread issues including sexual assault and date rape, sexual harassment, bullying, domestic violence, negative body image, unwanted teen pregnancy, transmission of STI's, communication challenges, and relationship struggles" (Raitz, 2015). We are committed to producing and maintaining programs that serve to motivate and educate today's youth by breaking the misguided traits of womanhood and creating a generation of women who are spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally sound.

Women on a Journey is our integrated program for young adult women. The purpose of this program is to allow women of all ages, and all stages of their purity journey, to meet and have an outlet for encouragement, accountability, and fun. Women on a Journey provides a sisterhood where women can connect with one another. Through monthly workshops passionately known as Journey Heart-to-Hearts, young adults discuss topics ranging from life as single Christians to fulfilling God-given passions. We also meetup for social events in and around Washington, DC. Women on a Journey has led to lasting friendships full of love, support, encouragement, and accountability.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Journey to Purity Foundation desires to motivate and educate today's youth and young adults by breaking the misguided traits of womanhood and creating a generation of women who are spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally sound.

Journey to Purity Foundation provides monthly workshops for youth and young adult women on topics that address health and wellness, signs of toxic relationships, communication skills, self-esteem, physical purity, mental health, spiritual gifts and so much more.

Through the generous support of our donors and partners, Journey to Purity foundation is able to provide these workshops for little to no cost to participants.

Thus far, we have accomplished a successful youth conference and women retreat for our participants that have increased their awareness of personal struggles that have prevented them from making positive strides in their lives. In 2017, we organized a hygiene kit packing party and distributed over 100 care packages to those who were affected by Hurricane Maria in the US Virgin Islands. We are looking to expand our reach and participate in more community service efforts in our local community and worldwide.
