Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We currently lose 20 veterans to suicide every single day.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Mental Health First Aid Certification
We certify veterans, active duty, reserve, national guard and their families in Mental Health First Aid and CPR/AED at NO COST to them.
Mental Health First Aid takes the fear and hesitation out of starting conversations about mental health and substance use problems.
Giving our veterans and their families the tools needed to start a dialogue so they can get the help they need.
Boots on Ground Homeless Outreach
Every month, Team Fidelis walks homeless camps and locations where homeless congregate to identify veterans in an effort to find them housing and ensuring they are receiving benefits they have earned.
In addition, we provide them a pair of boots and other items they need.
Awareness
We participate and lead outreach events around the city centered on Suicide Prevention, PTSD and removing the Stigma of Mental Health.
Engaging our veterans and their families in the community provides an open environment for them to speak freely. Finally, it lets them know that there is Hope.
Breathe
In honor of Sgt. Elias M Wade USMC, we give deserving veterans and their families a day away from the worries of the world and allow them to take a breath.
In some cases, its a dinner and night at the movies, others its a day at Worlds of Fun or a weekend at the lake.
Hope
Our Veteran Specialists are our front line connection with veterans. Whether a veteran needs assistance with benefits, employment, education or housing; we can connect them with those resources.
Many times all the veteran wants is to just sit down, have a cup of coffee with another veteran and enjoy some good ole Camaraderie.
Camaraderie
We provide opportunities for our veterans and their families to connect with each other to build strong support systems.
A few examples are:
-Monthly Team Get Togethers
-Attending local sporting events.
-Outdoor events.
-Physical Activities.
-Community service focused on veteran causes.
Mental Health Impact Kits
We provide Mental Health Impact Kits to veterans who are hospitalized.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to end the epidemic of veteran suicide, while a lofty goal, nothing truly worthwhile is easy.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We know that 14 of the 20 veterans who we lose to suicide every day are not receiving Department of the VA services at the time of their suicide. Utilizing our 3 pillars of Awareness, Hope and Camaraderie we believe we can connect with those 14 and begin the downward trend towards zero veteran suicides.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
In addition to providing veterans multiple opportunities to get engaged with each other and their community to end their isolation. Each veteran is assigned a Veteran Specialist who is certified in Mental Health First Aid to provide peer support.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
All of our Veteran Navigators are certified in either Mental Health First Aid, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training or Question, Persuade, Refer gatekeeper programs.
We have built partnerships with other non profits to leverage their strengths to help provide even more services to our population.
As we have grown larger organically, we have realized the need for an paid staff to drive our programs and development. We are testing a Chapter Model in Cincinnati Tri-State area this year.
