What we aim to solve
The Texas penal system has approximately 90,000 inmates from Dallas / Fort Worth and surrounding areas locked-up for various crimes and about 1.6 million veterans call the DFW area home. Each individual is at some point transitioning back into society and needs the support of friends, family, and / or mental health support; without support or even with support, these individuals would benefit from the services provided by HIS Grace at this Place. WE ARE UP and UPCOMING and NEED a BIGGER PLACE!

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The objective of HIS Grace at this Place is to help these individuals to transition back into mainstream society and become productive members. We provide our participants support programs, classes, transport, a place to stay, and much much more. Many veterans or past prisoners without support in this transitional end up on the street or back in,or in the penal system.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Traditional probation, parol, court mandated classes or community service are not designed to prevent individuals from repeating offenses or help them transition back into society. Moreover, some individuals that are prior military share the problem of not being able to transition back into mainstream society. Currently, there are no true systems of checks and balances or support systems that encourage these individuals to stay on track and live productive lives. HIS Grace at this Place has been designed, so individuals can do community service and court appointed classes in one location. The Overcomer’s 12 Step class for life controlling issues provides individuals with a support system. Individuals will be encouraged through daily bible verses, praise&worship, prayer, social media, and others in recovery or already recovered. There will also be classes for physical and mental fitness, maintaining your health and spiritual health, Job for Life training, and healthy eating habits.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
During the past two years, we have been working out of our home and offered a place to stay for three individuals. We turned down numerous opportunities for others because we didn’t have a place to accommodate these individuals. Right now we have limited capabilities because we have limited space. With the Place we are looking at buying, there is 16 acres with mobile homes. There’s space to grow and space for every program that we plan to add. We plan to add each these in phases.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
During the past two years, we have been working out of our home and offered a place to stay for three individuals. We turned down numerous opportunities for others because we didn’t have a place to accommodate these individuals. We have seen measurable success with the individuals that stayed. We are now seeking to expand to a larger location, and our Nonprofit organization to full time. We don’t want to turn anyone away.
