Mission

The Mahaska County Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T) is a 501(c).3 nonprofit, volunteer emergency organization that aids the citizens of Mahaska County, under the office of Emergency Management, in case of natural disasters, terrorism, crime, public health issues, or medical emergencies. Team members promote, educate, and provide skills which enable citizens to protect themselves, their families, homes, and businesses.

We assist with the rehab of emergency responders

We assist with all facets of family emergencies. With assistance from donors, we can support the general population to recover from a loss. A good example of this is hotel rooms, clothes, food, and other needs following a fire

Our Goal is to give critical support to the first respnders in emergencies, provide immediate assistance to victims, organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site, and collect disaster intelligence to support first responders efforts.

Our Mission is to Do the greatest good for the greatest number of people.

We have monthly meetings and trainings so we are ready at anytime

we have been ask to assist in community activities and well as emergency calls this year. The team have put in a total of 1202 hours.
