DAY SERVICE ADULT (DSA) OFFERS A PROGRAM TO PEOPLE LIVING IN THE COMMUNITY. DSA IS PROVIDED IN A SETTING SEPARATE FOR EACH PERSON'S LIVING ARRANGEMENT AND LOCATED IN THE COMMUNITY, ALLOWING ACCESS TO ACTVITIES SUCH AS SHOPPING, EATING, PARKS, ETC. SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON A REGULAR BASIS AND INCLUDE BOTH GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPATION IN ACTVITIES. THESE ACTVITIES RESULT IN ENHANCED DAILY LIVING AND OTHER SKILLS, IMPROVED DECISION MAKING, A GREATER CONFIDENCE IN COMMUNITY SETTINGS, AND MORE MEANINGFUL DAYS FOR EACH PERSON.

PEOPLE RECEIVE ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT WHILE DEVELOPING, IMPROVING AND/OR MAINTAINING SKILLS AND ABILITIES AS WELL AS ACTIVITIES TO PROVIDE A MEANINGFUL DAY. SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICES ARE PROVIDED IN A HOME-LIKE SETTING WHERE PEOPLE HAVE ACCESS TO THE COMMUNITY AT-LARGE TO THE SAME EXTENT AS THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE IDD.
