Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We want to place children and adolescents once again at the center of our neighborhood and community life, surrounded by caring adults inside and outside their families. These connections help youth to develop a sense of security and personal identity, and adapt rules of expectations, values, behavior, morals. This equips youth with the resources needed to move into healthy and productive adulthood.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
To enact transformational change on a global scale through a sustainable model of collaboration among missionaries, leaders, and communities to implement solutions for poverty, employment opportunities, leadership development, and missionary resources.
• Promote financial, physical, and mental wellness for underserved communities through family, and community involvement.
• Promote and provide community economic development projects, including (but not limited to) job training and employment opportunities and entrepreneurial development for community residents.
• Create access to clean water sources
• Expand community learning and resource center with computers
• Provide economic empowerment and literacy resources for women and children
• Implement international projects that enable long-term sustainable development.

- We review compensation data across the organization (and by staff levels) to identify disparities by race.
- We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
- We disaggregate data to adjust programming goals to keep pace with changing needs of the communities we support.
- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We use a vetting process to identify vendors and partners that share our commitment to race equity.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
