Retire & Respect

Strategically place disposal boxes around Montgomery County for people to take their tattered American Flags to. Instead of American Flags ending up in landfills, we encourage the public to Retire & Respect our American Flags by bringing them to these boxes. The Commission then properly retires these American Flags, according to the U.S. Flag Code: "When the flag is in such a condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, it should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning".
