Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Hunger is not an option [Dorcas' Way food access program]

Food insecurity has become pronounced since the breakout of COVID 19.We have been working tirelessly to ensure that families have the necessary nutritious foods to feed their loved ones .One of the ways in which we enforce this programs is by hosting large drive through food distributions ,in low income communities. At each distribution we average feeding about 350-400 families. We also deliver groceries to the families who are not able to access the food, because of the lack of transportation. The homeless community is also impacted as we deliver prepared cooked meals, care packages, clothing, etc to them on a weekly basis.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The goal is to create sustainable and constructive impact, in the lives of the forgotten.
FEED-EDUCATE-EMPOWER-IMPACT[Making a difference]

The plan is to uphold the less fortunate allowing them to take a chance on themselves. Our goal is to not only offer physical food but to offer other resources that will attack the problem from the root. Giving each individual a chance to rehabilitate themselves, propelling them to a future of sustenance. One of the ways we are going to achieve this is by implementing programs such as
a)Spanish to English classes(Individuals that are not able to speak the English language will be given the opportunity to learn the first language of the United States)
b)Literacy programs(There are individuals that cannot read or write, so we will be able to offer them that opportunity to learn basic Mathematics English, Comprehension)
c)Mental health counseling(Most individuals that are homeless have a mental health disorder, So we will offer counseling services to them, or a voice of reason to put life into perspective for them.
d)Case management
e)vocational training( We will offer training to the individuals who needs basic vocational studies to help to propel their growth and transition into the real world)
F)Sufficing food insecurity( delivering groceries and prepared meals through our food access program)
g)Transition housing(The homeless community, prisoners leaving the system ands has no where to go, Also needs a place to live in order to safely transition into the real world. This common-sense program would allow them to enrolled in other programs we offer, enabling a healthy transition. )
h) Low-income apartment housing(Families are not able to access low-income housing because of various reasons, living below the poverty level .Landlord discrimination, Racial discrimination .High rental fees, etc .All of this needs to be tackled
We are planning to fully enforce such plans, in the near future.

We design a well-structured plan to enforce such programs, But we will depend on grants and contributions from Donors to put everything into practice.

We have accomplished the art of feeding the Families and the homeless through our food access program. Now we are moving to the next level.
