Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Ballet school Supplemental Scholarship

AHMF provided merit-based supplemental scholarships to offset the cost of living for San Francisco Ballet Summer program. Summer Session provides a deep dive into ballet technique as they prepare you for a career as a professional ballet dancer. Programs are designed to address the individual technical and artistic needs of intermediate and advanced/pre-professional students.

Population(s) Served
Adolescents

Children are the most vulnerable! Humanitarian aid generally focuses on what you can see, you can touch, measure, build: food, medicine, cloths, shelter. Psychological trauma is invisible. Exposure to war breaks children’s fragile defense mechanisms and results in pervasive feeling of hopelessness, grief, anger and fear. Art, Music, and Dance play a crucial role in restoring the resilience and protecting children from the adverse effects of war. Researchers suggest that the power of art can help improve self-awareness, self-confidence, and provide an outlet for children to express and communicate feelings and heal from the horrors that they've witnessed.

AHMF is proud to partner with Nexus Center for The Arts to create a specialized Creative Arts for Healing (#CA4Healing) program for children from the affected war zone in Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh. This program will use the creative arts to help children to express, create, and heal in a safe and supportive environment. Art, music, dance are indispensable tools for communication, emotional release and ultimate recovering.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our mission is to stimulate art education in community and inspire young talented students in achieving their goals. In addition our goal is to help young talent, who is struggling financially, focus on the results and personal growth.

Our main strategy is to raise funds and support young talent financially, so they can focus on their results and improve their skills, instead of thinking about high cost of the education.

We believe we can achieve our goals by organizing local fundraising and reaching out to philanthropist and donors.

We are young organization, but we already completed several projects:
* AHMF provided need- or merit-based scholarship for Bayer Ballet Academy (BBA) summer intensive program.
* AHMF provided merit-based supplemental scholarships to offset the cost of living for San Francisco Ballet Summer program.
* With the help of the Dance Magic School, we helped to provide free summer dance camp for kids from local community

Our future programs include 2018/2019 Ballet Shoe Campaign and Fall Ballet Clinic at Bayer Ballet Academy.
