SMASH Self-Defense’s mission is to empower women, children, and underserved communities through self-defense, leadership, and anti-bullying health-fitness training. Our programming is design give people tools to develop themselves physically and mentally, while living healthy lives.

Smash Free Women's Self-Defense Classes

Smash Free Women’s Self Defense classes are conducted by several instructors at once, among them high-ranking CHKA Black Belts as well as CHKA’s Head InstructorSifu Jack F.C. Shamburger., 10 th Dan. Having multiple instructors on the floor affords students plenty of opportunity to try out the techniques as they learn them. Women are encouraged to attend the class as many times as they like -- since the class is ongoing, while some basic information is repeated, much of the material is progressive, often built upon in subsequent classes.
Smash Free Women’s Self Defense classes are offered at CHKA in the East Village every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm and Sundays from 3:00
– 4:30 pm.
