Line 28: In spirit of service, not self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. The panbdemic restricted us from participating in some of our usual programs since the VA hospitals were locked down. ALA Unit 315 did decorate pillow. cases to send to our deployed military.

Line 29. It is about service to our communities and our community is the home of veterans, disabled veterans, active military and their families. ALA Unit 315 organizes and coordinates an annual Christmas Basket program that touches 20-25 families each year. Baskets are full of food, as well as 3-6 presents for all children in the household.
