TFA STUDIO SCHOOL PROGRAMMING PROVIDES SKILL BUILDING THROUGH ACADEMIC AND VOCATIONAL EXPERIENCES THAT ARE INCLUSIVE OF EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING, MINDFULNESS, AND HEALTHY LIFE CHOICE ACTIVITIES. APPLIED LEARNING SOLIDIFIES THE EXPERIENCE FOR OUR POPULATION TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE YOUTH. EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING SKILLS WILL BE A PART OF THE DAILY CURRICULUM IN TFA STUDIO SCHOOL TO ADDRESS THE UNDERLINING CAUSES OF TRAUMA. DIFFICULTY IN SELF-REGULATION, STRESS AND ANXIETY IMPEDE THE INTERNALIZATION OF POSITIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCES. YOUTH STRUGGLE TO USE THE TOOLS THEY NEED TO FOCUS AND PAY ATTENTION, KEEP THEIR EMOTIONS IN CHECK, ADJUST TO CHANGE, OR HANDLE THE FRUSTRATION THAT IS SOMETIMES A PART OF INTERACTING WITH OTHERS.
