Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
As survivors of violence from war, abuse, and discrimination, our values and mission aim to architect creative pathways for the sufferers to be the healers, for the silenced to be the noisemakers, and for the dismissed and underrepresented to be the culture transformers re-storying our world with greater equity and resilience.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
At this moment in human history, we see a growing weaponization of communication and narratives that are eroding mental health, fragmenting social cohesion, and de-storying communities' human rights. #MeWeIntl priority is to innovate and scale our evidence-based tools, trainings, and community-based practices in which communication skills-building and storytelling interventions advance health, agency, and social cohesion.
As a community-led movement, our global programs are co-created with our participants and beneficiaries living in proximity to the poly crises of today: climate change, forced displacement, violence, inequality, mental health. As we scale and innovate, we see growing new community-driven applications that deserve more capacity, research, and capacity-building. In a world of constant change, we are committed to co-creation and innovation with our communities of practice from all around the world. This is how we can realize culture change towards greater equity, healing, and community resilience.
For over 5 years, our organization has moved mountains across 15 countries, reaching over 10,000 people. But were have done so with limited resources and 1-grant cycles. To realize our mission and vision, we must grow our team, and enhance our technical capacity as an organization if we are to scale and innovate across the world.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
The #MeWeIntl methodology's tools, trainings, and community intervention have activated over 100 community facilitators across 15 countries, reaching over 10,000 vulnerable youth, caregivers, elders, educators, and community builders. We have subgranted over $600,000.00 USD across 12+ community implementing partners across the world, ensuring a process of community co-creation and community ownership. Our tools and community programs have advanced participants' psychological wellbeing, leadership skills, and communication skills 60-80%, with variance for diverse geographic areas of practice.

- We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
- We analyze disaggregated data and root causes of race disparities that impact the organization's programs, portfolios, and the populations served.
- We disaggregate data to adjust programming goals to keep pace with changing needs of the communities we support.
- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We use a vetting process to identify vendors and partners that share our commitment to race equity.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
