Being or Becoming the Light

aka Being or Becoming the Light   |   JACKSON, MS   |  www.theorproject.com

Mission

The OR Project is a non-profit Christian ministry geared toward the sex workers of Jackson, MS. With safe-houses, a transition home, and community center (The Well), The OR Project will teach women and their children that the sex industry is not what they have to remain doing. Whether they are in it against their will, i.e. sex-trafficking victims, or because they are doing it because they don't think they can do anything else: sex workers in clubs, prostitutes, etc. The OR Project will offer education, safety, and the hope that is only found in Christ with counseling, classes, and housing for both women and their children through a transitional housing program and the Well, offering nutrition classes, showers, laundry, tutoring, and a safe place for all people of the community.
