Mission

Our Mission: Light of Loving Kindness is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, whose purpose is to provide access to Hope, Health, Healing, and Wholeness through Holistic Integrative Solutions and Mindfulness-based Interventions. We accomplish this by providing workshops, education & training, and resiliency services at free to low cost to communities that are underserved, low-income, and/or trauma-affected. Services are delivered through educational outreach programs for children-seniors with a focus on teens throughout Chicago & our Global Community. We are expanding by building an Alternative Health Therapies Practitioner Network which provides services on a sliding payment scale. We seek to promote economic empowerment by hiring from our communities as well as promoting its health.

Notes from the nonprofit

Our organization believes the work we do and services we provide can not only improve the lives of those we immediately serve at this moment but can grow to be an important source and template for promoting better health and living for everyone in Chicago. Our programs can improve the education of our students, further expanding their educational opportunities and for some it can become a vehicle for gainful employment and a way to build a stable and rewarding future for themselves and their children through employment in our Referral Network. It is a large and expansive vision for our future but one we choose not to shy away from . We instead find joy in meeting the challenges and experiencing the happiness as our students become successful, our local residents become healthier as we work to rebuild those parts of Chicago far too long neglected.
