What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

ALLMemphis training and mentorship

• ALLMemphis forms partnerships with local Title 1 schools. In total, our partnership will last three calendar years. Our partnership will begin in year one with summer training for all kindergarten through second grade teachers. We will also provide summer training for literacy coaches whose charge it is to coach and develop these teachers throughout the academic year. At the end of training, teachers are equipped to access ALLMemphis batched curriculum and assessments, as well as ready to implement the approaches that are introduced and practiced over the summer training.

• Beyond initial training, our ALLMemphis model focuses on the development of the literacy coach. Our goal is to develop an in-house expert, an employee of our partner school, who is poised and capable of continuing to develop new teachers and those approaching proficiency. Every other week, we support literacy coaches with data-driven debrief meetings and convene co-observations to give practice and feedback on their support for their K-2 teachers. Our model also provides standards-based data and evaluation supports based on our weekly assessment materials. These assessments serve to inform debrief sessions and guide informed adjustments to student groupings and content remediation during the differentiated ALLMemphis Orton-Gillingham intervention blocks that all K-2 students will receive. Assuming the achievement of the ALLMemphis literacy coach certification at the end of year one, years two and three will offer reduced support, allowing the developed literacy coach more autonomy over K-2 support. Partner schools will continue to have access to our ALLMemphis materials, data and evaluation supports, and will receive quarterly consultations to ensure program fidelity.

• Beyond the access to the ALLMemphis materials (scope and sequence, lesson plans and support materials, and assessments), partner school teachers and literacy coaches will be eligible to earn their ALLMemphis Teacher Certifications and ALLMemphis Literacy Coach Certifications respectively. Partner schools are also eligible to earn their ALLMemphis Partner School Certifications to indicate their organization’s commitment to offering high-quality multi-sensory approaches to their students. Deliverables to our funders include quarterly/bi-annual reporting, upon request.

• ALLMemphis will measure student achievement, specifically targeted growth and proficiency on the MAP, STEP, and ALLMemphis assessments. We collect survey data from our program participants on five occasions throughout the year to serve as a consideration in our process of continuous improvement. In-depth evaluation procedures are described in greater detail in our Outputs and Outcomes section below.
