What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Horticultural Activities
We work with individual, small or mid-size groups of veterans to bring thoughtful plant based activities to a veteran in the safety of their own home in order to help them reduce stress and increase confidence. We recommend at least two sessions per month for connectivity and follow through on activities.
Virtual Plants and Planting Horticultural Therapy
We supply and mail growing kits to Veterans homes and then connect with them via Zoom 2x per month to help them establish what they are growing, talk about successes and failures, share with the group, through harvest. We then talk through uses for what they have grown (herbs, vegetables, flowers)
Veteran Yard Restoration
Work with individual Veteran property owners that are living on a fixed income to help them restore the outside space around their house. There is an application process and an interview with the Veteran prior to any work being completed. This is not only for verification, but to ensure that the Veteran has the assurance that they are the decision maker and have choice. If they can dream it, we try to make it happen for them. Budgets will vary based upon severity of the property and need.
