His Passion a Global Purpose

Monroe Township, NJ   |  www.thegmlegacyproject.org

Mission

This Incorporation is organized for raising funds and providing support to the charities and charitable causes supported and promoted by the Artist George Michael. The George Michael Legacy Project, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (GMLP, Inc.), is a global umbrella charity that helps other small organizations with limited outreach to gain pointed recognition, an expanded demographic audience, and shared messages for global awareness. We help focus the light like George Michael's philanthropy, for sick children, animal welfare and to eliminate all stigma associated with mental illness.

Notes from the nonprofit

Lovelies around the world have demonstrated their admiration and support to sustain George’s Legacy of Music and Charity. Both were so very dear and important to George, that now GMLP is ready to take this commitment to the next level. 2023 begins our venture into building global partnerships with PARTNERS IN HOPE. Whether it’s about animals and their well being, giving a child living with a disability or displaced the opportunity to live their best quality of life possible, or, the care and support affected with both physical and mental ailments. We want to spread George’s positive message of giving back by joining forces with a specific cause and sustain their necessities on a continuing basis in George’s memory. Reaching out to all supporters & friends to inquire if there is a specific place or cause you think GMLP should create a partnership in George’s name. We reach out to welcome all to become Partners in Hope and fulfil those needs where we can.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We don't perceive this as a problem, but a solution ... if everyone took a moment to give a smile, a nice word to someone would be just as charitable then any fundraising project. Our vision and belief in GMLP, Inc. follows George's philosophy of never being enough to help others. There are many reasons why we promote that every $1 counts. If 2000 people read this comment and gave just $1 that would be a gift to any of the wonderful causes we support:
* Animal Sanctuaries here in the US and the UK that provide shelter to senior animals, animals kept while their owners are ill or not able to care for, or reach out to homeless people where their pet is there one consistent, companion in their life.
* Children Charities that support the means of limb replacements so they have the best opportunity in life, those who are orphaned from the AIDS epidemic and to have the means to continue their path in life.
* Removing the Stigma around Mental Illness and fight against Suicide

Through our website and all social platforms we promote ways to give in several ways:
1. Project promotions (2 for $10) (specific charity concentration) (Bundles of Hope - sending of wish list items)
2. Raffle events via social platforms benefiting specific charities (all items donated by the trustees of the company)
3. Auction events via social platforms benefiting specific charities.
4. website Shop-n-Give shop with fan and creative interpretations items sold with proceeds after expenses donated to charity.
5 Giveaways for member support
6. Donor appreciation, quarterly communications.
7. Subscriber newsletter
8. Yearly travel to the UK for event projects and participation where 100% of proceeds to charities
9. Email correspondence to national news programs for human interest stories.
10. creation of fan base and donor projects of a specific need.

At the present moment the Four Trustees of this Incorporation fully funds GMLP, Inc. It is our charitable positions to do so as we believe in what we preach. However we are limited to pre scheduled events to build the needs for each project.

We have made numerous donations to the charities or causes supported by Mr. Michael , even one he supported prior to his passing.
We successfully raised monies continuously monthly, and have kept all commitments but most of all our word in all projects which was have presented to the public. Our transparency is very precious to our vision.

Currently, now in March of 2020 with the devastation of loss around the world with the Coronavirus Pandemic, with respect we aren't currently promoting any projects. Our website continues to list our ways to give and the charities supported under the GMLP Umbrella of Hope. In the interim we are preparing for our June trip to Goring , UK to participate in a weekend charity event Celebrating George's Legacy of Life, Music and Charity. This is still not confirmed at this time.

So what's next....GMLP, Inc. is there to be supportive and fill the need in our own unique way if we can during these trying times. Even for a friendly hello, chat and well wishes.
