KEI ALSO PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO GOVERNMENTS, INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, AND OTHER FACTORS ON OVERCOMING BARRIERS TO ACCESS AND CRAFTING EFFECTIVE POLICIES.

IN PARTICULAR, KEI FOCUSES ON THE NEEDS OF PERSONS WITH LOWER INCOMES, MARGINALIZED POPULATIONS, ESSENTIAL GOODS, AND NEW SUSTAINABLE APPROACHES TO THE CREATION AND MANAGEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE THAT ARE FAIRER TO ALL POPULATIONS. KEI IS DEEPLY ENGAGED IN EFFORTS TO REFORM THE WORK PROGRAM OF THE WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ORGANIZATION AND TRANSFORM IT INTO A POSITIVE AGENDA THAT ADDRESSES TOPICS SUCH AS COPYRIGHT LIMITATIONS AND EXCEPTIONS AND ENHANCING THE SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY OF PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE GOODS.
