What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

The Butterfly Greenhouse Helping The Homeless Project

Our first program, The Butterfly Greenhouse: Helping the Homeless program, was created to help the homeless in our community obtain paid employment training in the area of landscaping, gardening, building and wildlife conservation.

The Butterfly Greenhouse, is a series of enclosures created for native and migratory butterflies, moths and the host and nectar plants required for their survival.

The first building is called, The Monarch House, named because only monarch caterpillars and host plants such as milkweed and nectar plants will be grown.

All butterflies and moths raised in our indoor Butterfly Greenhouse, will be released back into the community, where they can continue their life-cycle and begin their new journey pollinating and laying eggs along the way.

Our hope is to provide paid employment training to at least one individual who is homeless, per season. When funds permit hiring.

Employees and volunteers will be helping us build, The Butterfly Greenhouse. All participants will be honored at our annual Music & Butterfly Release Event Fundraiser, to be held in Newark, Ohio
