Mission

Save Oswit Canyon, Inc’s original mission was to save a single canyon in Palm Springs, CA. Now that that mission has been completed (2019) we’ve expanded our scope to become a local land trust (DBA: Oswit Land Trust). Our new mission is to prevent development of environmentally sensitive open market parcels in and around Palm Springs, the Coachella Valley and adjacent areas.

After saving Oswit Canyon in Palm Spring, CA from development in 2019 our org has grown to become a more encompassing land trust. Our ongoing mission is to find local environmentally sensitive parcels and purchase them to prevent further habitat destruction.
