REACH Advocacy

REACH Advocacy assists people experiencing chronic homelessness in Monroe County, NY. REACH promotes housing as a human right by sheltering, housing, and advocating for housing justice.
Since 2015, REACH has operated as a low-barrier, housing-first shelter focused on hard-to-place adults, offering a housing-first model of shelter and a pathway to permanent housing. In 2022 with the creation of Project Haven, services will include but are not limited to safe emergency housing, transitional housing, substance abuse recovery housing, rooming houses (in sober and non-sober environments), and independent living apartments.
Recognizing the connection between homelessness and the lack of affordable housing, REACH plans to create an innovative model of housing targeting people living below 30% of the AMI. The REACH Tiny Home Village will provide supportive housing for people who are currently homeless or rent-burdened.
