Programs and results
What we aim to solve
There are many parrots that are in desperate need of rehabilitation and forever homes. Many people do not realize the life long responsibilities of parrot ownership. Our mission is to educate people and help parrots to find forever homes. We use a foster to adopt program to ensure a great fit between the parrot and their new families. This helps to ensure that the parrot will indeed have a forever home. We do all vetting and rehabilitation of the parrots prior to sending them into foster to adopt homes.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Foster to Adopt
Placing parrots in foster homes for 30 days to ensure a well fitted home for both the family and the parrot. Once 30 days is reached they may adopt the parrot.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
To educate people of the care and lifestyle changes it takes to have a well administer parrot as part of the family. We have an active education and sharing site on Facebook and welcome visitors to come and gain hands on experience prior to fostering.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Rehabilitation of parrots, education of parrot enthusiasts, placement of parrots into homes. We take in surrenders and work with them to get them ready for forever homes. At times some parrots would never do well in a home setting and they live here under sanctuary status. We do boarding lingband short term as well.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have years of hands on experience with parrots. A lot of behavioral issues training and diet. Many parrot related issues can be fixed with proper time, diet and interactions.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Since opening as a legal 501c3 we have placed three parrots in foster to adopt homes. We have four that have been adopted to forever homes. We are currently rehabbing two others for their forever homes. We have several on paid sanctuary status where their former owner pays monthly for their stay here. We also have some others that are on permanent sanctuary as they are retired breeders and not fit for family pets.
