Mission

The ‘me too.’ Movement believes in the radical possibilities of a movement against sexual violence, led by survivors of sexual violence. When survivors channel their unique empathy in community with one another, and in service of a future free from sexual violence, that’s when change happens. As survivors we have the knowledge, skill, experience, imagination, vision, and creativity to identify, address, and bring radical transformation to our communities and institutions. To support and activate survivors, The ‘me too.’ Movement engages an innovative model of survivor leadership with a ‘whole-self approach’ to healing from sexual violence, that grows out of understanding survival. Pathways to healing must include wrap-around interventions and support mechanisms to best embrace survivors

Survivor Healing

The series of sessions led by healing practitioners will focus on introducing tools and practices that can help you navigate crisis and trauma, as you begin to rebuild a sense of safety, joy, and overall healing. As survivors, we are resilient and brave and this 7-week virtual series is an opportunity for you to add to the skills and tools that you already have and use every day to navigate your triggers and trauma. Together, we will be learning how our stories can be a tool of empowerment, how we navigate shame and guilt, and how we move in our healing journey towards joy and pleasure.

We aim to strengthen services for survivors in all institutions and we know the fight to end rape culture on campus is critical as resources continue to be stripped. The ‘me too.’ x HBCU Internship aims to foster a community with students and administration to incubate and imagine campus survivor programming with the intention of cultivating a foundation for longer-term survivor-led organizing on campus.
