Smiles from Sean Project

Our hero Sean, as a pediatric cancer patient himself knows how it's like fighting an illness and isolated from everybody. Therefore, in our Smiles From Sean organization we created a program that its main focus is to bring happiness to children with serious or underlying medical issues. We called our program Smiles From Sean project. As of 2021, we currently have two Smiles From Sean program- the smiley stress kit/care package and the Easter project. The Smiley Stress Kit was our original program where we raise money to buy smiley items such as smiley pillow, emoji bag, and stress balls and donate to the hospital. Well, pandemic forced us to made changes with our initial mission. We are now packing our smiley kits that consist of emoji pillow, emoji bags, stress balls, and sometimes blankets and other smiley items, and we send it directly to children that could benefit from our mission across the United States. Since we are fairly small and limited on budget, sometimes we assess the family's situation and if we know they will have frequent hospital trips we include gas/food gift cards in the bag. Also, part of our Smiles From Sean program is to raise funds through our coin collection where half of our collection will be donated to the Children's Hospital to help families seeking treatment there. Our other Smiles From Sean project that we started in 2020 in the middle of pandemic is the Easter project that we call Easter Basket of Smiles where we make and create Easter baskets for children with various health issues and their siblings, and who are living in the Metro Pittsburgh Region. We cater to infant, children and teens ages 0-17 years of age.
