Mission

Our Mission at Gino LaRusso Foundation for Suicide Awareness is to get Mental Health Education in our Local Schools. Suicide effects many unfortunately, it does not discriminate. We are seeing more children each year battling this in silence. We need to help educate our community, and END the stigma on Suicide. Speak Up, You Are Not Alone.

NEPA LOSS ( Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Team

NEPA Loss Team available to provide support

A new mental health initiative, the NEPA LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Team was created by three local organizations: Northeast Suicide Prevention Initiative, the Gino LaRusso Foundation for Suicide Awareness and Ski for Colin. The mission of the NEPA LOSS Team is to meet with family and friends who have recently lost someone they love to suicide. The presence of members of a LOSS Team at the scene of a suicide provides loss survivors with compassionate care and practical support. The NEPA Loss Team meets monthly and provides members with information and training opportunities. Two-person teams are available immediately after a loss to lend support and share resources with survivors of suicide. For information, contact Katrina LaRusso at [email protected]
