Mission

Our mission at Brave the Wave is to spread the stoke of wakesurfing to the adaptive community. Changing lives one wave at a time! When teaching individuals how to wake surf we have seen a transformation in their world realizing they are capable of doing so much more than they ever thought possible. We hope our programs create a community within the adaptive world of individuals who want to push themselves to be the best they can be, while being surrounded by like minded individuals. Help us spread the stoke of wakesurfing with the adaptive community all through out the United States!

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Brave the Wave

Brave the Wave is a program providing individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity and adaptive resources to learn the basics of wakesurfing or advance their skills. The goal of this program is to expose individuals with physical disabilities the freedom water brings while overcoming adversity, and be able to demonstrate to each participant they are capable of accomplishing big things! We hope this program creates a community with like minded individuals of all ages pushing their limits, while getting a taste of the extreme water sports world. We are blessed to have some of the top professional wakesurfing instructors come out to coach the adaptive community in all things wakesurfing. Our program provides top of the line adaptive gear such as prosthetic feet, and seated cages.
