Mission

Our mission is to inspire a path to a safer community for our youth, change the dialogue around the stigma and shame of addiction as well as provide additional funding support to existing early prevention community programs. We are dedicated to creating impactful programming that will address the current opioid and substance abuse crisis, educate to prevent and help stem the tide of overdoses.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Heart to Heart Speaker Series

This is a series of once monthly targeted informational seminars held throughout the city that seek to engage the community and empower through education. Topics discusses explore the benefits of education and it's relation to successful prevention of substance abuse, education on the mechanisms of addiction, redirecting the trauma response creatively and setting behavior patterns early on in life. They will be held monthly throughout 2023.

Monthly training sessions on the use of Narcan in the presence of a suspected overdose, discussion on the idea of harm-reduction, it's techniques and uses in gaining sobriety and maintaining it as well. Attendees leave with a FREE Narcan kit with essentials for using it and the aftercare of an overdose victim. We are part of a Massachusetts Department of Public Health program call the Community Nalaxone Procurement Program (CNPP) and distribute the Narcan obtained through this program to the community bystander and families experiencing addiction.

This is a "Leave Behind" program that effectively supplies Narcan to families that have experienced an overdose. It supplies a complete kit with Narcan for any future events as well as community resource information on services provided in all aspects of help needed. Mental health, addiction services, rehab services, housing, food, education as well. Anything needed to assist the family in a complete recovery.
