Animalcity Inc
A haven for orphan pets.
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Nearly 1.5 million pets lose their lives in animal control facilities each year. Some of these found themselves in animal control because their person passed away without a plan for their pet. They went from a loving home to death row, through no fault of their own. We help pet parents make a plan. Then we help enact that plan.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
AnimalCity Rescue
This program is designed to rescue pets who have found themselves in animal control due to the passing or incapacitation of their person. We pull the pets into foster care, ensure they are healthy and work to find them a loving forever home.
Any pet rescued from animal control will be protected by us for their entire lives. They will have a Forever Care Plan, free of charge, to ensure they never have to face animal control again.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We strive to ensure no pet goes to animal control because their person passed away or became incapacitated. We currently serve North Carolina, and will be expanding to nearby states within the next 3 years. Within 10-15 years our goal is to have a national presence so more pets can be helped.
Long term goals include establishing a facility that will be able to house orphaned pets, creating outreach programs to help elderly pet parents keep their pets longer, and establishing a fund to pay for spay/neuter surgeries.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We are working to build a large social media following to help educate and inform pet parents on the realities of what happens to pets when there is no plan. While we build that presence, we will work to connect with rescues and animal control facilities to provide education as well as pull orphaned pets.
In 2023 we will expand operations to South Carolina, and will create the foster network needed to support our Patrons in that area. Other states (GA, VA, TN, etc) will follow as each state comes online. To ensure growth is manageable we will add partners, volunteers and employees as needed.
Building our facility will start this year with establishing a fund to pay for the property as well as the facility itself. Unless we win the lottery, this will take several years.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
In just a year we have built a strong board of directors dedicated to our mission. We have received a small but steady stream of income to help us achieve our goals, and we have detailed plans for moving the organization forward.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have rescued 2 dogs from animal control, protected 21 pets, and have raised nearly 10,000 in the last year. We are excited to help more pets and pet parents in 2023.
