Mission

HouseCall Foundation (HCF) supports low-income families, underinvested communities, as well as those historically impacted by the carceral system. 

HCF provides education and training to loved ones, caregivers, peer specialists, law enforcement and community advocates through multimedia and telepresence, PSA and in person training.

 HCF will increase access to assistive technology, preventative care services, and crisis intervention.

Better Ways to Cope

The vision of our initiative is to equip community pillars, which in this plan would be the Black churches in Milwaukee, with the tools to support their community members with better ways to cope with the stressors of poverty, hopelessness, and the after affects post-pandemic for the Black community.

Long-term Outcomes & Objectives
• Increase deeper satisfaction of life for families who have implemented wellness check-ins, house halls, and assistive technology into their daily lives.

• Magnify reach of facilitation of services offered will create a mentally well and caring community equip to prevent, reduce, and manage crisis situations fueled by an individual experiencing a manifestation of their mental illness.

• Established partnerships with mental health networks such as Rogers Behavioral Health and BHD to labor the application to reach more families who will benefit from the assistive technology

• Integrate Mental Health professionals into the community that will respond to a crisis within thirty minutes in radius of the Milwaukee County.

• Facilitate third-fourth round of quarterly caretaker intervention trainings that equip caretakers and loved ones with the tools, resources, knowledge, and confidence to deescalate a mental health crisis in their own homes and communities.

Short-Term Outcomes & Objectives

• Reduce the number of crises situations fueled by a mental health manifestation through assistive technology
• Capture and analyze the outcomes of the piloted individuals who engage with the assistive technology.
• Improve the functional capabilities of individuals who experience impairment because of their mental illness.

• Facilitate 12 Caretaker intervention trainings a per year that equip caretakers and loved ones with the tools, resources, knowledge, and confidence to care for a loved one who experiences a mental health manifestation.

• Youth will be better educated and confident about identifying the symptoms of a mental illness through our community presentations woven through the school system and community based a[er school programs and will be equipped to create safe spaces for transparent conversations amongst their peers.

• Direct collaboration with AMRI Family Services to provide culturally competent counseling to communities of color and destigmatize the importance of therapeutic services.

• Mental Health professionals from the community to the community
