Wildlife Rehabilitation

By providing care for injured and ill wild native turtles, we contribute to sustaining mature populations of key species for healthy wetlands. Volunteer licensed wildlife rehabilitators who provide emergency first aid and recovery care to turtles, and other native reptiles and amphibians, until they can be released again into the wild.

Pet Turtle Rescue and Adoption

By rescuing and adopting out unwanted, neglected, and abandoned pet turtles, we prevent invasion by released non-natives that can be detrimental to native species and destabilize wetland ecosystems, thereby helping to preserve local habitats, and provide the turtles with a better quality of life.

Educational Outreach Programs

By educating the public about turtles, other reptiles and amphibians, and wetlands, we build interest in what may be unfamiliar or vilified wildlife, cultivate a desire to explore the outdoors, and promote the value of biodiversity and wetlands, thereby creating scores of supporters of and advocates for turtle conservation and wetland preservation.
