Animal Assisted Therapy
Animals mirror back to us that we have value and worth. We feel gentle when we stroke them, wanted when they approach us, and soothed when we hug them. Animals don’t judge us and we
can be authentically, uniquely us and the animals will always accept us as we are. Animals have a way of making us feel connected to them, and in turn, connected more deeply to ourselves.
We provide animal assisted therapy to those in need with a focus on Veterans, special needs populations and domestic violence survivors.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We are working towards creating a safe space for visitors and therapy participants to interact with the animals. Many of our visitors have sensory concerns. As we move forward with fundraising, we will be building a sensory room in which individuals can relax and work towards their care plan and goals.
We are also working towards expanding our facility so that we can take in additional animals in need.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We are fundraising and soliciting donations from businesses and organizations.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have had a construction service discount their labor and we are working towards donations of materials and money to purchase the materials needed to construct the additional barn.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have raised enough funds to expand our pasture as well as be able to care for additional animals feed and medical expenses.
