The Childrens Honor Choir

Mission

Who We Are Our Mission and Vision The Childrens Honor Choir is committed to instilling a love of the arts in children by allowing them to witness and participate in the performing and visual arts. The goals of the TCHC are two-fold: to provide a structured environment for children to develop their artistic prowess, whether it be in the visual or performing arts, and to expand their horizons by exposing them to some of the best artists the world has to offer. TCHC meets these goals by challenging its young members to learn and rehearse pre-arranged musical pieces in the performing arts or to create a body of work surrounding a theme in the visual arts. Each challenge presented culminates in a live performance or display which is open to the public.

TCHC Festival 2023

The Children’s Honor Choir is hosting their annual Honor Choir Clinic and Concert on April 1, 2023, at Walnut Creek Elementary in Azle ISD and our guest clinician is Mr. Noah McGuire.
4th, 5th, and 6th Graders will be invited to begin their day at 10:00 a.m. with an all-day clinic and workshop with our guest clinician. During the workshop, students will be chaperoned by their music teacher while learning vocal and performance techniques and rehearsing the performance of several pieces of music together with other students from the North Texas area. This festival is a fundraising event for the Children’s Honor Choir, an organization designed to enhance children’s love of music as well as educate and foster future music educators. As it stands, the day will culminate in a concert that evening at 5:00 p.m. for parents, family, friends, and community members.
