Notes from the nonprofit

Our pantry in Locust Grove, OK helps families with needs. We service families in Locust Grove, Salina, Rose and Peggs. We are a Christian based alliance that has several churches represented in the pantry. We have held cooking classes to help our patrons. We have given out Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets with free food to families. We love all the people that come into our pantry, and we try out best to make sure they know they are loved by the time they leave. Even though we are a non-profit, that doesn't mean we don't have bills, we live on donations. We have to purchase all the food we give out for free. In addition to that we have to pay rent and utilities. We are always in need of financial help to help all the people that live in this area. Please consider donating as we help the needy with their needs.

Policies and processes
  • We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
  • We measure and then disaggregate job satisfaction and retention data by race, function, level, and/or team.
  • We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
