Long Covid Association Inc

Together, We Solve Long COVID!

aka LONG COVID ASSOCIATION   |   Mc Lean, VA   |  https://www.longcovidassociation.com

Mission

Over 17 million in the USA have become newly disabled by the virus that causes COVID-19. Most are young adults between the ages of 18-54 yrs old. Anyone who gets infected with the virus or its proteins can develop the chronic multi-organ post viral syndrome. Long COVID disproportionately affects those who are financially disadvantaged, have limited access to health care resources: specialists, diagnostic tests, medications, immune supportive nutritional supplements and health monitors. Our mission is to scientifically research available vitamins, nutritional dietary supplements and nutraceuticals along with specific diet and lifestyle that are immune and system supportive along with our health equity programs to educate & advocate for recovery for all those disabled by Long COVID.

Health Equity and Scientific Research

LONG COVID ASSOCIATION scientifically evaluates and researches available vitamins, nutritional dietary supplements and nutraceuticals along with specific diet and lifestyle that are immune and system supportive to help Long COVID patients with symptom management and improve their quality of life and overall well-being. We are building a network of community support programs, health education systems and Long COVID Recovery Clinics to help equalize the access to health care and recovery programs so that anyone who suffers from Long COVID recovers. And those of low income have equal access to health resources and immune supportive nutrition for recovery. Health Equity and LONG COVID Scientific Research for Recovery!
Our mission is to provide LONG COVID scientific research, education, health equity and advocacy for recovery to help benefit those disabled by Post COVID-19 Condition or Long COVID and the public.

The numbers of folks affected by Long COVID in the United States are over 20 Million (CDC.gov estimates 9/29/22). The current process of getting a diagnosis and beginning available treatment is taking upwards of 1 to 1-1/2 years as there are not enough medical providers and access to specialized treatments and care is outside the reach of those financially disadvantaged. We are developing a help line to answer questions related to Long COVID and offer resources that are available that those suffering may not be aware. Also, the number of people with despair from this multi organ post viral condition are too many. In addition to our website, our help hotline offers the caller someone to talk to that believes their condition is real, will listen and can share information about available federal and state resources and program information to offer hope. Too many have been lost to the virus. Let's not lose any more to lack of information.
