What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The increasing global impact of dementia & other neurodegenerative diseases alongside the rapidly aging population creates one of the largest health crises we have ever faced. We can impact over 70% of our healthy aging outcomes by focusing on brain health. The likelihood of developing Alzheimer's disease increases with age, with 1 in 3 individuals over age 85 affected. If nothing changes, by 2050 there will be more than 150 million people worldwide with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. The projected global economic cost per year by 2030 is estimated to surpass $6 trillion. The labor force participation rate is projected to decline to 61.2% by 2026, due to an aging population and other demographic factors. An estimated 1.2 million additional direct care workers will be needed between 2020 and 2030 - more new workers than in any other single occupation in the United States.
