Mission

YouthTank is a non-profit startup incubator for student-led businesses in Detroit. We embed our entrepreneurial studios in Detroit schools and neighborhoods. We use action-based real world business challenges empower high school students with career-ready skills. Research shows that effective career academies improve socio-economic outcomes. Youth in Detroit deserve support to fully access multiple pathways to career

Action-Based Entrepreneurship Studios

YouthTank offers one week, semester, and year long entrepreneurship studios.

Seed Studio:
Helps a student gain direction for their future. Focusing on specific challenges for local startup businesses, we immerse students in Detroit's startup ecosystem. HIgh schoolers collaborate with professional coaches and young entrepreneurs to make real-world impact.

Startup Studio
Provides the opportunity for a student to discover their strengths and find their voice on a design thinking team at their Detroit school. YouthTank puts students in the driver's seat to develop a business idea that has social impact.

Accelerator Studio
Gives students an entire school year with YouthTank to expand their entrepreneurial leadership skills. In this advanced track, a young entrepreneur develops and tests a business idea in our YouthTank incubator.
