Mission

Pink Pea Project created to provide women & girls of color in Texas and nationally, with chronic illnesses/disabilities, mental health issues, struggling with addiction, racial trauma through practical support, financial resources, and education empowerment. Who cannot pay their medical and prescription bills; insurance premiums, not covered medical insurance, ineligible for social services assistance, harassment by creditors. We will offer grants for financial & co-pay assistance, practical needs, advocacy assistance, mental health and wellness referrals, nutritional supplements.. A scholarship to support two female students with chronic liver disease (transplant recipient or on waiting list) at a local college. Community service projects. Uplifting emotional and physical health.

We will help clients with everyday health-related social necessities, such as:

House cleaning services (for the elderly)
Pro bono notary services
Donation of eye exam and eyeglasses prescription for children who cannot afford eyewear.

Collaborate with other non-profit organizations for vital community support.

The Ginger Peach Scholarship, a scholarship funded by Pink Pea Project, a nonprofit organization, empowering two brown girls, ages 18-24, who are living with chronic liver disease, liver transplant recipients, waiting list candidates, and transplant immediate family members age 25 or younger, to meet their educational goals. The applicants must be attending or planning to attend Houston Community College in the Houston area. While there is no essay, we ask you to compose four sentences answering the question why is organ donation important? The applicants' families must earn less than $40,000 annually and agree to share their story for Pink Pea Project website.
