What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
AEHAP programs: Increase and diversify the environmental health workforce; Elevate the image and importance of this field to the public and policymakers; and Promote community based environmental health assessments through student projects and curricula development. Marketing: AEHAP has conducted messaging research on how best to communicate the importance of environmental health. The research was then tested with policymaker, public, and environmental health professional focus grouAEHAP has conducted environmental health briefings and panels to disseminate information about environmental health among our leaders. A diverse and qualified environmental health workforce: AEHAP provides universities opportunities to create innovative recruitment strategies through a mini- grant program. Minority Serving Institutions are awarded several grants to fund for student internships and promote community based environmental health assessments in their communities. AEHAP has focused many of its efforts on increasing the number of programs in geographically and ethnically underserved communities.
