LifeSPAN
We are a small non-profit organization focused on the social justice mission of supporting families in developing a safe, secure and quality future for their relatives with disabilities. Our signature program is establishing and sustaining personal networks of support around the focus person with a disability throughout their lifetime, even after their parents are no longer available to provide the personal attention and support they need.
The first LifeSPAN network was established in 2001. Since that time, LifeSPAN has established more than 20 networks, including one LifeSPAN community-supported network for an individual from the foster care system who did not have family members able to join LifeSPAN on his behalf.
In addition to helping families build personal support networks, we offer future planning consultations, workshops and social events supporting families in King County and beyond.
