Notes from the nonprofit

What makes Interior Community Health Center different?

We are a Level III Patient Centered Medical Home – the highest accreditation possible – because of this high quality, patient-centered care.

We accept Medicaid/Denali KidCare, Medicare, Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield, Moda, Aetna and all major private insurance.

We accept patients with or without health insurance and offer a sliding fee discount program based on household size and income

We routinely offer health education, health promotion, care management, transportation, translation and assistance to apply for programs that may make medications more affordable.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

This program provides access to health care that otherwise would not be possible.

The fund consists entirely of donations from the community.

ICHC has excelled at:
1) putting each patient and their health care at the center
2) providing 24/7 access to health care services through extended hours, same day and walk-in appointments, and after-hours on call providers
3) using health information technologies, such as electronic medical and dental records
4) organization-wide quality measurement and improvement efforts
5) care management for at-risk patients
6) health coaches for patients with chronic conditions

ICHC staff, leadership and Board of Directors work tirelessly to provide excellent, affordable and accessible care. Because of these efforts ICHC was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) – Level III, the highest level of recognition possible.
