Helping Families, Transforming Lives
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
My Father's House
Our highest priorities are meeting the whole needs of the homeless family. Physical, emotional, and relational issues may be addressed for each family member to become functional. Families living together and working on their problems together will make the transformation into healthy living patterns more quickly and permanently. Therefore, we strive to keep families intact as they work together to wholeness and completeness.
Shelter for Homeless Families
Our shelter provides a home-style atmosphere that encourages change, structure and accountability as well as life changing classes and services that are suited for the entire family. For many of these families, it is their one and only opportunity to get back on their feet.
Classes & Casemanagement
All of our programs stress responsible living and decision making. We never do for the residents what they are able to do for themselves, but we are available with assistance, encouragement, support and training. We are completely funded by the community supported by hundreds of individuals, businesses, corporations and churches.
Children & Youth
From birth through grade 5 we provide childcare and children's programs so that parents can look for work and housing knowing that their children are safe. Our teens each meet with a case-manager that helps them cope with the issues surrounding homelessness

- We disaggregate data to adjust programming goals to keep pace with changing needs of the communities we support.
- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
