Our Mission: To enrich mind body and spirit through positive and creative animal assisted services and to give access to those in the community who may not otherwise have the opportunity. Slater Family Farm strives to promote an inclusive faith based therapeutic environment for participants and their families.

Hands on interactive farm animal education

What Sets Us Apart
I'm sure you have been to a petting zoo before. Lots of people feeding jumping goats and all the loud noises and chaos that goes along with animals and children in the same place. While a lot of people and children love the feeding, jumping, and loud environment there are many other individuals who may enjoy the animals and the park itself, it's just not the right atmosphere for them personally. Persons with Autism, sensory processing disorders, PTSD and anxiety may find the over stimulating environment of many petting zoos, pumpkin patches, parks and other agribusiness venues difficult to handle. That is how I came up with my idea for an inclusive sensory friendly farm experience that will specifically cater to those with disabilities as well as offer our services to churches, schools and medical/ mental health facilities.
